Service Animals Policy

• Definition of Service Animals: The Box Elder Events Center follows the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines in defining service animals as dogs that are individually trained to provide assistance to individuals with disabilities. This includes guide dogs, signal dogs, and other types of service animals.

• Requirements for Service Animals: Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered at all times while inside the venue.

• Seating for Service Animals: Service animals are required to rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle or other areas that may obstruct traffic flow.

• Prohibition of Other Animals: With the exception of trained service animals, all other animals are prohibited from entering the venue.

The Box Elder Events Center is easily accessible from Rapid City Regional Airport, approximately a 10-mile drive from our location. The address to the Airport is 4550 Terminal Road, Rapid City, South Dakota 57703

Alcohol Serving and Consumption

We will ask all guests to provide a legal and valid photo ID regardless of age. Guests are required to obey all state and local laws governing the purchase, possession, and consumption of alcohol. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to consume alcoholic beverages. The Box reserves the right to remove anyone under the age of 21 who is found to be in the possession of or consuming alcohol on the premises. The Box also reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and may have you removed from the premises if necessary.

ATM

For guest convenience, there is an ATM located in the main concourse of the facility.

Baby Changing Tables

There are two family bathrooms available that have baby changing tables available.

Bags/Backpacks

All bags are subject to inspection and search before entering certain events within the facility as determined by the event promoter. The Box reserves the right to define and limit the bag size based upon requests.

Ticket Office

Tickets for The Box Elder Events Center events are available at the ticket window in the main concourse, depending on the event. You may also purchase tickets online at thebox.live or by calling 605-791-0753

Cancelations

In the event of an event cancellation, The Box will distribute refunds. If you are canceling on your own behalf, you would have had to purchase the protection plan to receive a refund.

Catering

The Box offers off-site and on-site full catering services. Outside catering is prohibited.

Guest Code of Conduct

The Box is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable entertainment experience. Our Guests can expect the following while attending an event:

• Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional, and courteous manner by The Box staff and personnel.

• The Box has a focus on youth sports and will not tolerate abusive or profane language.

• Guests will consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Intervention with an impaired, intoxicated or underage guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.

• Guests who engage in fighting, throwing objects or attempting to enter the playing surface will be immediately ejected from the venue.

• Guests will smoke in designated smoking areas only.

• Obscene or indecent messages on signs or clothing will not be permitted.

• Guests will comply with requests from The Box staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures.

Prohibited Items

We ask all guests to arrive early and travel light, as you may be subject to search, which includes metal-detecting hand wands upon entry. For safety reasons, prohibited items include but are not limited to:

Large Banners and Flags: Spectators are not permitted to use or wave flags, banners, signs or other items that are affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic or any other hard material and that is more than 11 by 17 inches in length.

• The following items cannot be brought into the arena by spectators:

   • Weapons (including guns and knives);

   • Aerosol cans;

   • Fireworks;

   • Frisbees;

   • Beverages;

   • Tripods or monopods;

   • Beach balls;

   • Bats and clubs;

   • Drones;

   • Professional and/or commercial cameras with interchangeable/detachable lenses;

   • Audio/visual recording devices (includes GoPro, Google Glass, Spectacles);

   • Clothing, garments or signs displaying explicit language, profanity or derogatory characterization towards any person(s);

Illegal substances;

   • Any items an arena deems dangerous

If an item is revealed during a search, guests may dispose of the item, or they may return the item to their vehicle. The Box does not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.

Protests/Petitions/Handouts

The Box is a privately owned facility and does not allow protesting, collection of signatures for petition drives, or unapproved marketing of any type. The distribution of promotional items, handbills, fliers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures, is not permitted at The Box.

Concession

The Box offers a wide variety of food and beverages for the enjoyment of our guests.

Conventions

With over 60,000 square feet of space and numerous rooms of different sizes, guests will find an ideal meeting facility at The Box.

Credit Cards

The Ticket Office, concessions stands and bars accept all credit cards.

Defibrillators

In case of an emergency, Defibrillators are located throughout the event center.

Any guest who purchases a ticket for an event at The Box Elder Events Center is automatically placed on our mailing list to receive ticket alerts and announcements of upcoming events. First Aid

In the event of an emergency please dial 911. If First Aid attention is needed, ask an employee of The Box for assistance. Please note, there are no on-site medical staff unless an event has hired them. There will be on-site medical staff for sporting events.

Food and Beverage

Guests may not bring outside food and/or beverage items into The Box. Glass bottles and metal cans are strictly prohibited. Guests are asked to dispose of unauthorized items prior to entry into the facility.

General Admission

General Admission refers to seating or standing areas that are occupied on a first-come, first-served basis, and do not have assigned or reserved seating.

Hotels

There are multiple hotels located on-site at The Box Elder Events Center. The closest hotel is Courtyard by Marriott, which is directly connected to the event center. Other hotel options include Residence Inn by Marriott, Home2 Suites by Hilton, La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham at WaTiki® Waterpark, and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott.

Internet

Free Internet/Wi-Fi access is available to guests at The Box Elder Events Center.

Lost/Stolen Property

All lost and found items are taken to the Ticket Office, located by the main entrance in the concourse. They will be stored for two months before being donated or destroyed. The Box management assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items within the facility.

Parking

The Box offers on-site parking spaces in several lots near the building. Parking is also available with handicapped parking.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the facility at any time, this does include e-cigarettes. Smoking is restricted to outdoor areas only.
